Dodge Viper Nurburgring Record Video
We all love Nurburgring record videos; whether you like the car on offer or not, the skills and thrills on view make the ten or so minutes invested well worthwile. And the video of the Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR setting a Nurburgring time of 7:12.13 a few weeks ago is one of the best. GT driver Dominik Farnbacher drove a cracking lap to take the SRT10 on a lap that eclipsed the Viper’s efforts from 2008 by almost ten seconds.
Land Rover Range-e wins SMMT Award
Just like every other car maker in the world, Jaguar Land Rover are flirting with and developing hybrid powerplants to keep the government-targeted economy and CO2 levels in check, even though neither Jaguar or Land Rover are close to actually launching a hybrid. In fact, Jaguar recently said that 4WD was the next ambition for their cars – not hybrids – and we won’t see a hybrid from Land Rover until the next wave of Land Rover models start to hit the road in 2013. And even then, any hybrid powerplant is likely to be well after initial launch.
Lexus RX 450h F Sport at Geneva 2012
As well as the facelift for the Lexus RX 450h, Geneva saw the first appearance of the new Lexus RX 450h F Sport. We’ve already seen a fair bit about the facelift for the 2012 Lexus RX 450h in the run up to Geneva, and Lexus themselves teased the front of the new RX 450h F Sport version just before the show started. But both the facelift for the RX and the F Sport version have arrived at Geneva.
